Sounds of the Suburbs have a busy year ahead for 2009. We hope you can make it along to some of our gigs, we are all over the place this year and the great news is we now have some regular venues in the Fleet, Basingstoke and Woking areas where we have lots of repeat bookings.
We have a few changes in the line-up this year, more details to follow shortly.

We got on the Telly! Richard & Judy played a video clip on Mon 10th March 08 we posted on You Tube at a gig we played last summer called 'KEILFEST'. You can search You Tube for the title 'Posh Bird Can't Sing' a very drunk participant in the live rock karaoke chose to sing Blondie's One Way or Another but not much singing went on just a lot of jumping and falling about and very bad shouting. Please forgive Fran her incredibly bad choice of outfit too!

Sounds of the Suburbs want to say a big thank you to all our fans who have been to see us in the last year and well done to anyone who has joined us on stage in the Karaoke!
We expect to be back to gigging from around April/May 2008 so keep an eye on the website from then to hear all about our busy schedule through 08.

The band were very happy to be voted MP3 of the week in October by the best music website out there at the moment, Lemonrock - this is the review for the bands cover version of 'One Way or Another' by Blondie.
Lemonrock review: "This is a brilliant rendition of Blondie's late 70's song, written by Deborah Harry and Nigel Harrison. Sounds of the Suburbs have captured the perfect pop energy that was Blondie's hallmark during their phenomenal world success. Very close resemblance to Debbie Harry's vocal delivery, with absolutely top playing from the band; precision guitars, powerhouse bass and spot-on, nicely tuned drums."
LATEST UPDATE! Lemonrock has just voted SOUNDS OF THE SUBURBS Artist of the Week!! Thank you Lemonrock! Check out this site it's got loads of information about gigs, bands and venues throughout the country and a great forum too!

Sounds of the Suburbs recently performed at a private party for the superb stand-up comedian, Ben Norris at The Comedy Cafe in London. Ben has starred on BBC's Mock The Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and other telly stuff.
Not only did Ben love performing with us in our Punk & Indie Karaoke, but also the wonderful and lovely Martin Freeman, star of The Office, Hitchhikers Guide to name a few of his many successes, Martin stepped up to the mic to perform an Oasis song and was brilliant!
Also the comedian Ed Byrne joined us on stage and performed an outstanding version of Alanis Morissette's 'You Oughta Know'!
We were delighted to be watched also by the wonderful Dara O'Briain, host of Mock The Week, what a lovely bloke he is in real life, an absolute gent.
Sounds of the Suburbs are very happy to perform at your party so if you need a band get in touch through our Bookings link!
